Your Guide To Wollombi
Where to eat, sip & wander while you’re here for our big day
We’re getting married (!!!) and we’re so excited for you to join us for a weekend in Wollombi.
Wollombi might be small, but it’s big on charm – think country cottages, winding valley roads and food and wine worth staying an extra day for.
So, without further ado, here’s Bronte’s Scout‑approved hit list to keep you caffeinated, fed, and happily exploring while you’re here celebrating with us.
Myrtle & Stone,
Espresso + Wine Bar
A country cottage café by day, cocktail bar by night – think of this hidden gem as the Next Door in Cronulla of Wollombi. Myrtle & Stone is the spot for coffee that hits and food that feels like a warm hug. We’re talking all‑day brekky, house‑made scones and cakes worth writing home about. And for dinner? Their Friday night menu is perfect for a relaxed, delicious meal before the big day.
Open: Friday (dinner) | Saturday & Sunday (breakfast + lunch)
Scout Tip: All‑day breakfast. That’s all you need to know come Sunday the 7th.
Stonehurst Cedar Creek Vineyard
If Wollombi had a slice of France, this would be it. Stonehurst is family‑run and organically grown, with a cellar door that’ll ruin you for supermarket wine forever. Grab a cheese platter, sip your way through their award‑winning range, and soak in the vineyard views. We recommend a trip here on your arrival Friday afternoon or before you head home on Sunday.
Scout Tip: Arrive peckish and order the cheese platter with your tasting.
Wollombi Tavern
Historic Aussie pub? Tick. Ice‑cold beer? Tick. Outdoor courtyard made for long summer afternoons? Tick. This 1868 gem is home to the world‑famous Dr Jurd’s Jungle Juice (you’ve been warned) and some serious country hospitality. Perfect for a pre‑wedding catch‑up on Friday night or sneaky Sunday bev.
Open: Daily, 10am – midnight
Scout Tip: Nab a table in the outdoor courtyard and settle in for a sun‑drenched beer.
Wollombi General Store
The beating heart of the village since the 1850s, this General Store is where locals grab their daily essentials and travellers stop for coffee, fresh food, Carnival Gelato, and a friendly chat. It’s charming, wholesome, and worth a visit when you’re after the essentials.
Open: Daily, 7am – 5pm
Scout Tip: Stock up on local cheeses and chocolates while you’re here — perfect for a late‑night snack at your Airbnb.
The Forge
At first glance, it looks like your typical antique store. Step inside, and it’s a wonderland of vintage finds and unique collectables – a little bit of organised chaos, and a whole lot of treasure hunting.
Scout Tip: Perfect for a post‑coffee wander — chances are you’ll leave with something you didn’t plan on.

Wollombi has well and truly stolen our hearts and we’re so excited to share it with you.
Thank you for making the trip to celebrate our wedding – we hope you have a weekend full of good food, good wine, and moments you’ll remember long after the dance floor closes.
